Readless Max

Your sources, connected by theme

Synthesis is an optional Readless Max style that organizes available newsletter, Substack, and RSS content into a thematic briefing, with source references to help you check important details.

Pro is $4.90 USD per month; Max is $9 USD per month. Billed monthly. Eligible new accounts can try Pro for 7 days. Card required for the eligible Pro trial. Cancel before it ends to avoid a charge.

Synthesis is your daily news briefing

Choose the newsletters, Substacks, and feeds you want to follow, then set a delivery schedule. Synthesis brings related material from those sources into a connected read. A morning briefing can focus on work, while another schedule follows a different interest.

The result depends on the content Readless receives or can access for that schedule. Source references help you follow up on a story, but AI can miss context or make mistakes. Check important details against the available originals.

AI synthesis, answered

The common questions about how synthesis reads, writes, and cites.

Q.01#

What is AI synthesis?

AI synthesis connects related stories from multiple sources in a thematic briefing. In Readless, Synthesis is an optional Max style built from available, eligible content in your scheduled digest. It includes source references to help you check important details; it does not guarantee complete coverage or error-free reporting.

Q.02#

How do I get a personalized daily news briefing?

Add newsletters, Substack subscriptions, or RSS feeds to Readless, choose a delivery schedule, and select Synthesis on Max. The briefing uses content Readless receives or can access for that schedule. Choose daily delivery if it suits your sources, and review the available plan and billing terms before confirming a Max upgrade.

Q.03#

How is synthesis different from a regular summary?

Concise and Detailed keep eligible source summaries separate. Pro can also show Hot Topics for a specific story covered by at least two distinct newsletter senders. Optional Max Synthesis organizes related material into a thematic narrative with source references. These formats do not guarantee that all repeated coverage disappears or that every source is included.

Q.04#

Which sources can synthesis combine?

Synthesis can use newsletters received at your Readless address, connected Substack content, and RSS feed content. Coverage depends on what Readless receives or can access and what is eligible for the digest. It does not bypass publisher paywalls or access restrictions. If there is not enough usable material for Synthesis, the digest may use Detailed source summaries instead.

Q.06#

Which plan includes synthesis?

Synthesis is an optional style on Max, $9 USD per month, with custom summary instructions and up to 8 digest schedules. Pro is $4.90 USD per month, with up to 3 schedules and the Concise and Detailed styles. Both are recurring monthly subscriptions. Eligible new accounts can try Pro for 7 days. Card required for the eligible Pro trial. Cancel before it ends to avoid a charge. An eligible Pro trial can retain its remaining trial period when upgrading to Max; a paid Pro upgrade can incur an immediate prorated charge. Review the confirmation for your account's timing and charges.

Q.07#

Can I still get a plain summary of each source?

Yes. Max includes Concise and Detailed alongside optional Synthesis. Choose a source-summary style for schedules where you prefer to read eligible sources separately, and Synthesis where you prefer a thematic briefing.

Q.08#

What language is the briefing written in?

Choose a digest language in your schedule settings: English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Dutch, and Polish. Auto is also available. These are the same output options used by the other digest styles; check translated names, quotations, and important details against the source when needed.
